Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography

Applications are invited for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative Senior Lecturer in Radiography. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing a new 2-year taught MSc Diagnostic Radiography programme, which will have its first intake of students in 2018. As well as having experience in teaching and learning in Radiography, the appointee will be expected to be research active, supervise student research and participate on Department and College committees. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Radiography or related discipline, a clinical qualification in Diagnostic Radiography and a current professional registration in Diagnostic Radiography and demonstrate evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development and research in Radiography.

The MSc Diagnostic Radiography programme will be located in the School of Clinical Therapies. Over the past 10 years, the School has developed a range of clinical programmes at both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. In addition, the School has a growing suite of Continuing Professional Development modules supporting life-long learning.

The University, at its discretion, may undertake to make an additional appointment(s) from this competition following the conclusion of the process.

Appointment may be made on the Senior Lecturer Salary Scale: €66,054 – €91,281 (Scale B); €64,832-€86,887 (Scale A). In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
