NIHR BioResource Study Coordinator

The NIHR BioResource aims to provide a unique and powerful resource for studying disease mechanisms and for characterising the benefits and limitations of emerging therapies. This will lead towards future trials and studies that incorporate disease mechanistic knowledge and that are personalising therapies based on stratifying patients/individuals at risk of disease by disease-associated phenotypes.

The NIHR BioResource requires a Study Coordinator to coordinate and manage research within NIHR BioResource. The post holder will work directly with the designated Researcher for individual studies under the supervision of the Senior Study Participation Coordinator to ensure the recruitment of volunteers in order to fulfil study recruitment requirements. The post holder will manage the administrative and functional set-up, initiation, running, monitoring, and archival of approved NIHR BioResource stage 2 research studies.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and will have worked for a complex organisation involved in research studies in a clinical setting, and understand the principles of GCP. The role holder will have experience in the use of databases using large datasets, excellent communication skills and able to coordinate and progress a number of clinical trials simultaneously.

The funds for these posts are available until 31st March 2022.
