SHU-UTS SILC Business School seeks to appoint an ambitious, high calibre academic dedicated to intellectual excellence and educational achievement.

SHU-UTS SILC Business School (SILC) is a Joint Venture between the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia and Shanghai University, China. SILC has an internationally qualified team of academic staff in the major areas of business teaching and research specialisations and is located within the SILC campus of Shanghai University in the Jiading Campus.

The Lecturer is responsible for contributing to the UTS Business School’s undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and postgraduate supervision, as well as establishing links with relevant industries, both for teaching and research purposes. All courses are delivered in English and academic appointments are integrated (40% teaching; 40% research; and 20% external engagement/administration).

With an Industry Advisory Committee, development of a Work-Integrated Learning Plan and an Entrepreneurship Centre/Business Incubator, this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside other internationally renowned scholars committed to research and teaching and to build an exciting and successful career.

We want to hear from academics who will set the standards internationally for the future of engaged scholarship.

To be appointed you will have:

  • A Doctorate in management or related field complemented by industry experience.
  • Proven ability to publish research papers in quality journals (ABDC A or A* rank category).
  • Proven track record in developing innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in fostering strong links with industry.

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary & Benefits: A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered at a level up to the equivalent to the UTS Lecturer at level B dependant on experience. This appointment will be on a 3 year fixed-term basis.

The successful applicant will be required to spend one month per calendar year in Sydney.
