Technical Officer in Electronics

Internationally recognised for our contribution to the study of sport, exercise and health, the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences has a wide-ranging expertise, encompassing such diverse areas as biomechanics, medicine, molecular, cellular biology, nutrition, economics and sport management. 

The successful candidate will join our highly skilled Technical Team to work across the School's suite of laboratories, setting up and monitoring the use of equipment, to support learning and teaching along with Research and Enterprise activities.

Responsible for all aspects of ensuring that the laboratory operations run accordingly, from equipment maintenance, repair, housekeeping, purchasing to record keeping and health and safety activities, you will also be required to maintain the biomechanics laboratory, oversee laboratory usage and have the ability to demonstrate specialist biomechanics equipment to students.

With the relevant experience in an electrical engineering subject, knowledge of electronics or control engineering, health and safety procedures, regulations and legislation, you should also be confident and comfortable communicating with large groups of people and have the ability to work well alongside a team.

This full-time post is offered on an open-ended contract.
