The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) is an independent institute for learning and research in the fields of Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Administration and Development Economics, and Conflict Resolution and Humanitarian Assistance. The DI, established in Qatar by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Doha, accepted its first student cohort in 2015 and is a bilingual institution where both Arabic and English are languages of teaching, learning, and research.

The Language Center (LC) at the DI seeks to appoint a highly qualified and experienced lecturer of general and academic English. Successful candidates will provide the DI students with quality training in general and discipline-related academic English, using various approaches including communicative teaching, experiential, blended, and independent learning, content-based advanced language instruction, and language learning across the curriculum.

Applicants should submit a CV with the names of three referees and a cover letter in which to expound the relevance of their experiences to the above LC requirements. The selection process will remain open until the position is filled. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the post in September 2018.
