Main purpose and scope of the post:

  • To lead on and meet the targets of the Sussex Learning Network Collaborative Outreach Project (SLN:COP) in Brighton & Hove.
  • To raise both the aspirations and attainments of young people from disadvantaged (NCOP postcode) backgrounds who are currently under-represented in higher education.
  • To strengthen partnerships between higher education, further education, schools and training providers.
  • To develop partnerships with target schools/colleges and Sixth Forms to deliver a programme of progressive outreach activities typically from Year 12 through to Year 13 (working in partnership where appropriate with the Local Authority on Year 10-11 outreach)
