About the role:

The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision in Chelmsford includes registered nurse, full time undergraduate and part time apprenticeship, assistant practitioner (FdSc) higher apprenticeship and degree apprenticeship nursing. We also offer post registration/CPD courses and modules. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience. Internationally, we have excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty.

Our Faculty constantly pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. We’re seeking a committed and experienced practitioner to enhance undergraduate and post-graduate courses within our portfolio. Your background will be in clinical nursing, with expertise in caring for patients or clients with acute exacerbation of their conditions.

With a degree, current registered nursing qualification and PhD or Professional Doctorate (for lecturer grade 5, PhD or nearing completion within 18 months of commencing employment). Applicants without previous teaching experience will be expected to work towards gaining a postgraduate teaching qualification. You’ll have excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication, leadership and consultancy skills.
