The College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Department Administrative Assistant within the Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering Department.

This is an interesting and wide-ranging position that works closely with the Department Administrator and the Head of Department in providing excellent administrative support and proactively responding to daily enquiries from students, members of academic and administrative staff, both by email and in person.

The successful candidate will effectively liaise with all levels of University personnel, processing expense claims, logging various data on spreadsheets, booking rooms and dealing with general administrative duties. They will also be very pro-active, able to work unsupervised, show initiative & diplomacy, have excellent diary management skills with good attention to detail, and must have experience of a similar administrative role.
