University of Surrey - Hospitality Conference Catering Services

3 Roles Available - Term Time Only, Part Time (12.5 hours per week)

We are looking to recruit three Service Team Members to work with the team at Hillside Restaurant. You will be part of the team providing fantastic customer service for the students and staff. The main aspect of the role will be operating the tills during the busy lunch times and assisting customers.

Each role is offered on a term time only basis, working 12.5 hours per week.

In addition to a competitive salary we offer a generous pro rata annual leave allowance and discounted sports club membership.

Role Outline

  • Working in one of our busy restaurants over the lunch time period
  • To ensure high level of customer service
  • Operating a till system
  • To serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner
  • To comply with all health, safety & hygiene regulations
  • Work within a team to ensure that the restaurant area is clean & tidy at all times

Personal Specification

  • Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude, friendly & polite
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
  • Ability to work alone and as a part of the team
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in very busy environment
  • Ability to multitask
