Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering

University of Brighton - School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics

We are seeking an engineer who can contribute to the development and delivery of our mechanical engineering degree courses using a range of teaching methods and ways of supporting student learning. In particular, you will contribute to the development and delivery of modules in the following areas:

  • engineering design including: manufacturing processes, quality management (ISO9000 and Six Sigma), materials, design representation, computer aided engineering, structural analysis and innovation;
  • engineering skills including: system integration, ethics, management and planning, mathematics and programming

A portfolio of relevant professional experience or a PhD or equivalent is essential for the role as well as the potential to develop high quality enterprise activity or research in an area related to the school’s work in engineering. The ideal candidate will therefore have a strong commitment to delivering a high quality student experience and advancing existing research and enterprise activities in the School.
