The University of Manchester seeks to make an appointment of a Lecturer in Development Economics (teaching-focused) in The Global Development Institute. We are looking to appoint an outstanding individual who will make a central and strategic contribution to, and contribute to the enhancement of, research-led teaching programmes in this area. In particular, the post will have a particular emphasis on the teaching of quantitative methods in economic development as well as core development economics, development finance and public policy.

You will be expected to provide teaching leadership and support to the Master’s programmes in the Development Economics and Public Policy cluster and to teach a core course on quantitative research skills, amongst other duties.

The post is tenable from 1st January 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Interviews are likely to be held in December 2017.
