The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance, pro rata.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 38 months

This is a Part-time – 60% full time equivalent

The Research Associate will work as part of the team delivering the large ESRC-sponsored multi-disciplinary, multi-site programme ‘Sustainable Care – connecting people and systems’ (SC), directed by Principal Investigator Prof. Sue Yeandle. The SC programme brings together academics in seven universities, linked to an extended network of international academic partners in 15 other countries. It will take a future-oriented and internationally comparative look at current approaches to the care needs of adults living at home with chronic health problems or disabilities, examining these in the context of care systems, care work and care relationships, with a focus on the arrangements necessary for sustainable wellbeing.

This post is to support the work-package ‘Migrant care workers in the UK: an analysis of sustainability of care at home’, led by Dr Shereen Hussein and based at King’s College London. This work-package focuses on understanding the impact of UK policy changes 2018-20 on migrant care workers’ roles, recruitment and status; the implications for the sustainable wellbeing of stakeholders; and the changes needed in how home care work is supported and organized.

The selection process will include competency based questions, a presentation, an assessment and a panel interview.
