We require an all-round business development professional to work on a range of enterprise related project activity including translational grant applications, due diligence and freedom to operate, project management, knowledge transfer, consultancy, CPD, patents, licensing, business planning, commercial services and Research and Development.

You should have at least a first degree in a relevant life science related subject and an understanding of the principles, processes and issues underpinning commercialisation (in its broadest sense) in a Higher Education institution. Technical, strategic and commercial acumen will be required. Previous experience in both academia and the commercial sector (e.g. pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare sectors) would be a distinct advantage.

You will work within a dedicated team within the Faculty of Medical Sciences, with particular responsibility for pharmacy, nutrition and sports and exercise research, and will closely with colleagues in other Faculties within the University, the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS services.
