Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine

Salary: up to £46,215 per annum subject to funding available within the grant and giving consideration to the trainee's training and experience to date.

Full-time fixed term contract for two years.

We wish to appoint an excellent Clinical Research Fellow to co-ordinate a new clinical study in heart failure and cardiac electrophysiology, based in our Cardiovascular Sciences Department.

You will hold an MB BS or equivalent, have full GMC registration, a licence to practice, MRCP or equivalent and a good clinical practice certificate or the ability to obtain one. You will have great organisational and team working skills, as well as being self-motivated and having a desire to learn.

You will co-ordinate a new clinical study and be responsible for patient recruitment, data management and analysis. Your work will be suitable for submission for a higher degree (MD or PhD). You will be based at Glenfield Hospital Leicester, working in state of the art research facilities and work under the supervision of Professor André Ng.

This post is most suited to a cardiology trainee wishing to specialise in this area. You will be expected to register for a higher degree and participate in a generic postgraduate training programme.
