The School is seeking to recruit in the broad area of clinical psychology or health psychology or educational psychology. 

The successful candidate will be expected to develop research in an area of clinical psychology or health psychology or educational psychology in collaboration with existing expertise in the School. They will also develop teaching and research supervision on the undergraduate BSc Psychology honours programme and/or the Schools post-graduate programmes, in particular the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or the Doctorate in Educational Adolescent and Child Psychology. The post holder will also to contribute to School administration/outreach activities.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have an Undergraduate honours or postgraduate degree in psychology or closely related discipline.
  • Hold a PhD in a relevant area of psychological research.
  • Have strong theoretical and empirical background in clinical psychology or health psychology or educational psychology.
  • Have recognised excellence and reputation in clinical psychology or health psychology or educational psychology.
  • Have research interests that are sustainable and that complement and enhance existing research activities within the School in the areas of clinical psychology or health psychology or educational psychology
  • Have sustained publication record in peer reviewed psychology journals that are REF returnable at international level.
  • Have successful application for research funding and management of research grants.
  • Have Experience of preparing and delivering lectures to psychology undergraduates or postgraduates.
