An opportunity has arisen for maternity cover for the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) South East Region Education Coordinator based at the University of Reading. This role will coordinate and promote the activities of the RSC’s Education Department in the South-East region. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to develop and maintain strong and effective networks of education stakeholders across the South-East. The post is full time: 80% working for the RSC as Education Coordinator and 20% working with the Department of Chemistry on Outreach activities. The post is fixed term and will conclude on 30th September 2018.

You will have:

  • A degree in chemistry or the chemical sciences
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
  • Experience of events organisation
  • A good understanding or experience of the UK education system and an awareness of issues surrounding STEM subjects.
