Research Assistant in Science Policy Interfaces

We are seeking to appoint 2 Research Assistants in the field of climate change impacts and adaptation assessment on a fixed-term basis until 31 October 2018. The positions are funded through a European Commission FP7 project (IMPRESSIONS; on high-end climate change impacts on land and water sectors.

Based within the School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh, you will join a team of researchers studying the effects of environmental change on socio-ecological systems. Specific tasks include the writing and editing of project reports and policy briefs and support of stakeholder engagement activities (participation in stakeholder workshops and reporting on the outcomes of these workshops). Further ad hoc duties to include basic data analysis and communication with project partners, as well as collating written materials from other partners into project deliverable reports. You will have an MSc degree in environmental or ecological sciences with knowledge of issues in climate change, ecological economics, ecosystem services, and ideally international environmental law and/or policy.

These are fixed term posts until 31 October 2018.
