Location: University Park
Salary: £17,399 to £20,624 per annum (pro-rata if offered a part time or job share) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post working to support senior staff in the School of Chemistry. Main duties will include production of documents, correspondence, maintaining an efficient filing system, arranging meetings, note taking, diaries, arranging travel and other necessary duties in relation to operational activities.

Candidates must have a good standard of education evidenced by five GCSE’s including maths and English (or equivalent), and/or secretarial experience in a busy office environment, excellent IT skills and be highly proficient with Microsoft Office and the use of Email and the internet. Good interpersonal skills are essential and the ability to set own work programme and work to challenging deadlines will be expected.

Hours of work are 36.25 per week but the School is willing to discuss working hours below this to a minimum of 30 hours. The post is open to a job share.
