University of Nottingham - External Relations

Location: University Park

Salary: £22,494 to £26,829 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are being invited for two Executive Assistants based in the University’s External Relations team. These post holders will support the Directors and Senior Team for the Communications & Advocacy and Digital & Marketing divisions respectively, managing all aspects of professional administrative support and project support for each Director and their deputies. Specific duties will include diary management and implementation of effective administrative processes that will ensure the smooth, efficient running of each division.

The remit and scope of the External Relations Department has significantly expanded in the last two years in terms of size and complexity of responsibilities. With over 270 dedicated members of staff, we have responsibility for all communications, marketing and student recruitment activities across the University. These new roles will provide critical support to the Directorate to ensure maximum efficiency within their divisions, as well as supporting the achievement of the External Relations strategy.

Candidates must have an HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) and it is essential that they have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work on their own initiative to effectively prioritise their own workload. Candidates must also have exceptional organisational skills and be used to handling confidential information. Excellent IT skills are essential.

These positions are based on full time, permanent contracts and are open to a job share.
