Research Associate (Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the team in studying potential neuroprotective therapies in rodents models of disease. This includes, but is not limited to, using different therapeutic agents to investigate their effect on the behavioural and cognitive impairments in these models models.

We seek applicants with a recent PhD (or equivalent) in neuroscience or a relevant subject. Successful candidates must have a valid Personal License (PIL), and ideally have previous experience with rodent behavioural and cognitive tasks. Experience with small animal stereotaxic surgery and experience with various methods of drug administration (intravenous, intraperitoneal, sub-cutaneous), immunohistochemistry, western immunoblotting is desirable.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
