Project Support Officer - ESF Widening Participation through Skills Project

0.5 FTE Fixed-term contract in University of Exeter's professional Services team in Penryn, Cornwall.

The University is seeking a self-sufficient, organised and enthusiastic Project Support Officer to carry out duties on a European Union Social Fund programme supporting access, information, advice and guidance to Cornwall and IoS citizens on taking up further or higher education.

We are seeking someone with a good understanding of widening participation as a concept and the practicalities of developing and running activities designed to encourage participant take-up in FE and HE courses. As well as having a good level of understanding of project delivery, preferably gained working on an ERDF or ESF funded project.

Further experience of working in an environment providing information, advice and guidance and undertaking project reporting is beneficial.

The project is ready for an immediate start and runs until December 2018; this may be extended.

This post will be based at the University of Exeter's Cornwall Campus, however the post holder may be required to travel to the University's Streatham Campus in Exeter on an occasional basis and will involve local travel across Cornwall.
