Knowledge Exchange Funding Manager

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage the portfolio of Knowledge Exchange (KE) funding held by UCL Innovation and Enterprise (more than £2.5m per annum), including the development of business plans and applications for new funding streams, and the effective management of existing funding.

Key responsibilities include the management of Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF) and the Research Councils UK (RCUK) Impact Acceleration Accounts across UCL. The postholder will managed the whole funding lifecycle: communicate calls to the UCL community; answer queries; collate applications; check costings; organise panel review; collate scores; present outcomes for review; notify applicants and finance teams of outcomes; gather progress reports and outcomes.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of a Higher Education Institution research environment plus university Knowledge Exchange, Enterprise and Intellectual Property issues. The post demands excellent oral and written communication abilities, a keen attention to detail, high levels of numeracy (with the ability to analyse data) and strong interpersonal skills.

The post is available from 1st February 2018 and is to undertake specific maternity cover, the duration of which is dependent upon return of the post holder. In the first instance the cover is estimated to be to until the 31st March 2019.
