Database and Gifts Administrator/Manager

Sidney Sussex College wishes to recruit a DATABASE and GIFTS ADMINISTRATOR/MANAGER to join the Development and Membership Office. Part of a team of five, this post reports to the Development Director and supports the overall objectives of a busy and friendly department.

The successful applicant will gain valuable experience of working in the growing fields of alumni relations, fundraising and event management. Key areas of responsibility include the operation and continued improvement of the database function and enhancing the external image of the College with its alumni and donors through professional gift administration and database operation.

Ideally, candidates will have significant experience of working with Raiser’s Edge or some familiarity with databases, but training can be provided. The position would suit a highly motivated professional with good interpersonal skills, who has a “can-do” attitude, and who is able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

This role involves 37.5 hours per week; however, some flexibility will be required so that the post holder can attend events and functions in the evening and at weekends. The salary is paid at points 32 - 36 on the University’s single pay spine, currently equating to £24,285 - £27,285 per annum. Incremental progression through the range is discretionary. This post is pensionable under the College’s attractive contributory pension scheme, includes free lunches when on duty and subsidised membership of the College’s gym facilities.
