Switchboard Operator

University of Southampton - User Support & Teaching

iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services Group and provides all aspects of ICT to the University. This includes learning and teaching, research, and University administration, and supports a diverse user community of over 35,000 University staff and students.  We are looking for an experienced, part-time Switchboard Operator. The post will be a permanent – part time position for 22 hours a week Tuesday – Friday 8.30am-2pm

Applicants should have experience of operating a computer-assisted switchboard.  The post of Switchboard Operator requires good communication and accurate keyboard skills and knowledge of the principles of a telephony system.

Operators provide exceptional customer services to our University community, responding to queries on switchboard matters and liaising with University staff at all levels.
