Job Purpose

As part of the school leadership team play a lead role in the development and successful implementation of the school strategy and strategic deliverables, evidenced in a step change improvement in key performance measures both internal and external.

Accountable to the Director of College Professional Services with key day-to-day responsibilities to support the Head of School in the overall organisational planning and leadership of school professional support services including student learning & teaching , research and operational support. This currently includes line management responsibility, direct and indirect, for all MPA, technical and operational staff within the School.

This is a strategic business partnering role, integral to both informing and the successful delivery of the future shape of the school professional services provision in line with the College and University’s strategic direction.

Standard Terms & Conditions

Salary will be on the Management, Professional and Administrative Grade, level 8, £42,418 - £49,149 per annum.

This post is full time and open ended.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities’ Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
