Bioxydyn offers advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services to the pharmaceutical industry as an imaging contract research organisation (iCRO). We provide our customers with unique insights into diseases and into drug effects with dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI), diffusion MRI, anatomical connectivity mapping (ACM) techniques, and oxygen-enhanced MRI (OE-MRI).  These technologies are deployed in a wide range of settings, including lung disease, musculoskeletal disease, liver disease, oncology and neurology. 

Bioxydyn has the expertise to develop novel imaging biomarkers for bespoke applications and intends to grow its current areas and expand into new areas.  We are now increasing our capacity in MRI physics and are seeking a senior physicist to help set the physics and imaging strategy for the business and lead the development of new MRI acquisition and analysis methods.  The role also includes promoting our capabilities at international conferences and with customers, training MRI imaging sites word-wide and working on the interpretation of imaging data. 

Our iCRO business has scaled to a total of 15 highly skilled staff and we are proud of our highly skilled team.  We are now seeking a highly professional physicist, with an interest in the appliance of MRI to commercial activities and with the following experience:-

  • Substantial experience of MRI functional measurement techniques, including the Bioxydyn MRI methods or similar and substantial experience of MRI research in therapeutic areas, such as respiratory, cardiac, oncology, musculoskeletal, neuroscience, hepatology or similar.
  • PhD level scientific competence with significant professional experience in a research and/or industrial setting, including with medically-qualified individuals and using scientific programming tools such as Python or Matlab.
  • Experience of writing research scientific/technical papers and presenting work internationally.
