Research Assistant - Psychopharmacology and Emotion Research

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to work within the Psychopharmacology and Emotion Research Lab (PERL), led by Professor Catherine Harmer. The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.

This post is for a fixed-term (funded for 6 months).  

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of experimental medicine studies, including recruitment of participants, study related administration, and data entry. At all times you will be expected to work according to Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) and research governance standards and to ensure compliance with data protection act. The post would suit a person interested in going on to either clinical psychology training or further research.

You will have a BSc in psychology (2:1 or above) or an equivalent subject, along with demonstrable research experience, including the ability to manage data sets, and basic analytical skills. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and a strong interest in cognitive neuroscience and clinical psychology.
