The Cardiff School of Optometry & Vision Sciences is looking to appoint a Research Associate to work on a BBSRC-funded project entitled 'The Development of Eye Tissues via Human Induced Pluripotent Stem (iPS) Cells'. The appointee will conduct research within the fields of cell and matrix biology as applied to tissues of the eye, and to contribute to the overall research performance of the School and University, carrying out research leading to the publishing of work in high-quality journals. The work will involve close collaboration with project partners in Japan, which will involve extended overseas placements. The successful candidates will pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same.

The successful candidate must be able to start on the 1st January or as soon as possible thereafter and will be working full time on a fixed term basis for 36 months.
