NIHR Bristol BRC Research Associate in Mental Health

University of Bristol - School of Experimental Psychology

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Research Associate to join the Mental Health research theme within the National Institute for Health Research Bristol Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR Bristol BRC).

The post-holder will join a busy research group led by Professor Marcus Munafò (http://www.bris.ac.uk/expsych/research/brain/targ/), working to understand pathways into, and the consequences of health behaviours and mental health, with a particular focus on tobacco and alcohol use.

This post will support the development of novel individual- and population-level interventions, including emotion recognition and choice architecture interventions, that target the cognitive and neurobiological mechanisms underpinning the exposure-outcome relationships involved in tobacco and alcohol use.

This post is available from 1st April 2018 and currently has funding secured until 31st March 2020.

For informal enquiries please contact Professor Marcus Munafò (Tel: +44 (0)117 954 6841 or Email: marcus.munafo@bristol.ac.uk).

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
