Professor of Gender and Politics

The School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS) is seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational research leader to the post of Chair in Gender and Politics to lead the School’s Gender Research Centre (GRC). The School wishes to appoint an exceptional candidate with expertise and an international profile in any of the following fields: gender and international relations; gender and international development; gender and international political economy; gender and international security; (feminist) post-/de-colonial theory. Applicants with a strong research profile in gender and other areas of politics are also encouraged to apply. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate academic and research leadership, will have a track-record of successful research awards and high-quality research outputs, and will show a commitment to and interest in leading collaborative research bids and engaging in impact-related/public engagement activities. A strong profile of engaged and innovative teaching in the candidate’s area of expertise is also a requirement of this post.
