Research and Business Development Officer (fixed term)

Salary: £29,799 to £38,833 per annum (pro-rata if offered a job share) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an established research and business development team and support the advancement of Social Science research and knowledge exchange. The role holder will work across Social Science disciplines supporting a range of research development activities and act as a point of liaison for the academic research base within the Faculty of Social Sciences. Reporting to the Head of Research and KE (Arts and Social Sciences) in the Centre for Advanced Studies in the Arts and Social Sciences (CAS), the main objective is to raise awareness and develop opportunities for research, particularly in relation to Early Career researcher development, and build towards research impacts.

Candidates should have some previous experience of research support, writing bids, budgeting, bringing teams together and project management. They should be educated to degree level or equivalent in the Social Sciences or Humanities, with an understanding of the research culture in higher education.Existing knowledge and experience of Social Science research funding is desirable.

This is a full time, fixed term post for 2 years. Hours of work are 36.25 hours per week. The post is open to a job share.
