Description of Duties

The successful candidate will work across the H2020 projects EOMORES and CoastObs. These two projects are focused on the development, application and operationalization of satellite remote sensing services for water quality monitoring in inland and coastal waters. In particular, the projects are focused on the exploitation of data from the European’s Space Agency’s Copernicus Sentinel satellites to develop new and improved data products and services for inland and coastal waters.

The successful PDRA will be expected to lead on the planning and execution of field sampling campaigns for the development and validation of satellite observations, the maintenance and deployment of in situ optical sensors, analysis of water samples and primary production photosynthesis-irradiance incubations in the laboratory, and the curation, processing and analysis of in situ and satellite datasets.
