Senior Scientist – MRI specialist

P1vital Ltd

Applications are invited for an MRI specialist. The post is based at our P1vital Ltd offices in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

This post is for a fixed-term up to 12 months as maternity cover, but with the option of extending to a longer-term or permanent contract if the skill set of the candidate provides a good fit for our research objectives.

Candidates interested in part-time work are encouraged to apply. For academic applicants, this may provide a mechanism to extend academic funding that you have in place.

Preferably you will be available to start in this role in March 2018.

You will be responsible overseeing the set up and optimisation of fMRI components of P1vital studies, which are conducted at multiple university and hospital sites; assist in the design and execution of biomarker and fMRI data collection, data processing, analysis and interpretation; help develop, conduct and document robust biomarker and fMRI quality assurance programs; help develop MRI components of Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs); and be responsible for implementing and conducting statistical analyses in accordance with SAPs. Our projects are both privately- and publicly-funded, and you will work across these settings.

The post would be highly suitable for a scientist with MRI skills who is interested in gaining experience of applying these skills within an industrial setting.

You will have a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or an equivalent subject, with strong MRI skills. You will have a strong interest in cognitive neuroscience and clinical psychology.

Those interested are asked to email for more details; you will be asked to provide a CV and a supporting statement/covering letter and details of two referees.
