Continuing its substantial investment in the Newcastle University Business School with the appointment of a new Director, Professor Sharon Mavin and a strategy to develop world leading reputation in the Future of Work and Leading on Leadership.

We seek to appoint a Professor of Finance committed to the success and development of the Newcastle University Business School as active and engaged citizens. Individuals with interest in the future of work and developing future leaders, who care about nurturing academic colleagues and students to reach their potential and who connect with organisations, are encouraged to apply.

The primary purpose of this post is to lead the development of research in the finance subject area, which includes the research groups behavioural finance, corporate financing and structuring, accounting data and financial evaluation, evaluation of company performance and gendered impact of financial practices which stretches the activities of the Finance, Accounting, Control and Evaluation (FACE), and Behavioural Research in Finance (BRiF) research groups http://www.ncl.ac.uk/nubs/research/centres/

Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant subject and have a record of excellence in research, engagement and impact (including PhD supervision and funding applications).
