Examinations Supervisor

The post holder will be responsible to the Head of Student Registry Services for the supervision and management of the Examinations Office. Working as part of a team the successful applicant will be responsible for supervising the staff and processes that support the University’s Examinations programme.

This role is responsible for the administration of examination support to all students including delivery of examinations in the region of 55,000 sittings per year to over 22,000 students. 

The successful applicant will also be responsible for improving and modernising the business processes used in the Examinations office and contributing as a business expert to development projects to the University’s Student Information System (Qsis). The post holder will also be responsible for managing ad-hoc initiatives and changes to existing systems to deliver interim improvements.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be educated to degree level, or equivalent, with professional experience of student administrative services


  • Have 5 years’ professional experience of student administrative services.
  • Have a proven track record in the management of human, financial and information resources and in the provision of high quality services to end users.
  • Have experience of managing/organising University events.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the rapidly changing operation and culture of higher education and, in particular, of developments which impact on the administrative support for learning and teaching.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the management techniques necessary to meet the needs of a major university.

Salary scale: £32,548 - £42,418 per annum (including contribution points)
