You will be responsible for all academic activities to the Head of Department of Cardiovascular Sciences and accountable to the PVC & Dean of the College and to the University.

You will develop and undertake a research programme of high quality and impact in the cardiovascular field. You will also contribute to teaching appropriate to your expertise and the requirements of the MBChB and other undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as supervise postgraduate research students. You will also contribute to enterprise activities, clinical duties (if applicable) and administration.

You will be responsible for contributing to and further developing the University of Leicester’s Department of Cardiovascular Sciences’ international standing in cardiovascular research, through ambassadorial work.
