Overview

This project in collaboration with Industry sponsor Aavid Thermacore Europe Ltd. and will undertake research on Next generation loop heat pipe wick technology for thermal management of Space and Terrestrial applications (School of Engineering).

The studentship award will cover RCUK standard UK/EU tuition fees and a stipend of at least £14,553 per year. Each studentship position will be primarily based on the Newcastle University campus, and will also include a minimum of a 3 month industry based placement (accommodation and travel paid). Each project will be co-supervised by an industry sponsor. Postgraduate students are also enrolled in our Postgraduate Researcher Development Programme.

Eligibility Criteria

The award is available to UK/EU applicants only. Depending on how you meet the EPSRC’s eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to a fees-only award (partial funding) or fees and stipend award (full funding).
