Technician Demonstrator - Media & Journalism

The Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology is seeking to appoint at Technician Demonstrator to join our Media and Journalism team on a fixed term contract.

Candidates should be experienced technicians preferably with experience of the HE sector and with proven media industry experience.

It is essential that the appointee has a thorough practical knowledge of the video production process and should be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Compressor, and Premiere. Knowledge of InDesign, Word Press and other digital platforms is also required.

The appointee will be experienced in digital workflows and have a keen, informed take on future developments in this sector. Experience of Multi Camera TV studio production is desirable, as the appointee will be working with Tricaster and green screen post-production techniques. The appointee must have a demonstrable knowledge of the multi-camera production process and, it is desirable that the appointee is able to offer a specialism such as vision mixing.

This is an exciting time for the Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology, which is relocating to our new purpose-built Waterside Campus next summer. The successful candidate will be expected to play a key part in the move and in delivering a first rate student experience in our new media facilities.
