WIS Infrastructure Team Manager

We are looking for an experienced technical team leader to manage a team of system administrators with responsibility for the technical infrastructure for a number of key services. The post holder will provide specialist technical leadership in creating, securing, and administering infrastructural computer based technologies that underpin robust state-of-the art IT services for enterprise wide and smaller, specialised user communities that are both internal and external to the college, and operating within an ITIL service management framework.

The post holder will have management experience as a team leader, virtual team leader or project lead.  Be able to demonste ability to utilise specialist knowledge to advise and support team members in their technical activities in both project and operational environments, with an ability to adapt to changing technologies. They should have the ability to contribute to and co-ordinate the preparation and execution of project plans. They should be able to demonstrate an ability for monitoring and adherence to maintaining agreed service standards by other members of the team, and ability to sanction independent corrective action as required. They should have knowledge and practical experience of administering Windows based server operating systems in a service environment.

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £43,023 - £50,753 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
