The University is seeking to appoint a Regional Director for East Asia to assist in advancing our partnership and activity in China and across the East Asia region, to take forward key areas of the University’s global plan. The post manages and develops partnerships with key institutions, contacts and agencies across the region and leads on key aspects of student recruitment.

The post is responsible for coordinating a diverse portfolio of activity for advancing the University’s engagement and works in partnership with the Vice Principal International, Assistant Principal for China, and Director of Edinburgh Global.

Location: The post will be based in China with frequent travel across the East Asia region and to the UK. The successful candidate will require to have the right to live and work in China. While the University’s Regional Centre is based in Beijing, applications are welcomed from applicants interested in working from Beijing or Shanghai.

Salary: Terms and conditions will be competitive and based on local norms. The level of the post is grade UE08 and the salary will be competitive and aligned with the local market.

Applicants should be aware that the post holder must have an excellent command of written and spoken Mandarin, and regular liaison and communication with the UK requires an excellent command of written and spoken English.
