The Centre for Food Policy is an interdisciplinary research centre located in the Department of Sociology in the School of Arts & Social Sciences. Its mission is to advance an integrated and inclusive approach to food policy through education, research and engagement with global policymakers.

Based at the Centre, the Food Research Collaboration (FRC) is the only initiative in the UK dedicated to facilitating more effective collaboration between academics and civil society to produce evidence-based knowledge to influence and improve UK food policy.

Responsibilities
The Centre is seeking a part-time (0.6 FTE) Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the FRC team and support the delivery of its work stream on integrated UK food policy in a post-Brexit environment.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will be a proactive researcher with the enthusiasm, skills and aptitude to lead and drive research projects; will have a PhD in a topic relevant to food policy and experience of researching complex food policy issues and legislation; and will be an excellent communicator, able to translate research analysis into accessible briefing materials suitable for internal and external stakeholders.
