Clinical Associate Professor in Primary Care Education (Part-time)

Salary: £76,761 to £103,490 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post in the Division of Primary Care, School of Medicine. The successful candidate will provide academic leadership and management of two courses in the undergraduate primary care curriculum – community-based medicine and the final year GP attachment. 

The candidate will work with key primary care and medical education colleagues, including the Head of Undergraduate Primary Care Education and other primary care course leads. Candidates must be registered and practising general medical practitioners with MB BS, and PGCHE or MSc awarded by time of appointment, and have experience of:

  • Managing undergraduate general practice/primary careteaching programmes 
  • Evidence of leadership in teaching or research

This post will be offered as a permanent 5 sessions/programmed activities contract at 20 hours per week. An appropriate Honorary Senior Academic GP (SAGP) NHS Contract will be offered. Separate from the University contract, the post holder will be expected to work between two and four sessions in clinical general practice.
