Senior Clerical Assistant

University of Leeds - School of Mathematics

Faculty of Mathematics & Physical Sciences

Are you well organised and able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team? Can you work with speed and accuracy, whilst giving attention to detail? Are you flexible and adaptable, with the ability to move between tasks as workload requires?

Working for the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT), you will be a part of a small team that processes examination scripts from thousands of school children around the UK. You will be responsible for packing examination and related materials to go out to schools worldwide, working to tight deadlines. In addition, you will undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the UKMT mentoring scheme, using your initiative to solve problems and answer queries from students, teachers, parents and volunteers.

Along with excellent communication skills and a friendly approach, you will have experience of working in a busy office or customer service environment. You will be well organised and able to manage your day-to-day workload, as well as being able to make a positive contribution to the team.  You will also have the ability to perform manual handling tasks, using appropriate equipment.
