Research Associate in Social Network Analysis and Supply Chain Management

The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management is one of the world’s leading academic centres of excellence in the management of projects and construction economics. The School seeks to appoint Research Associate in Social Network Analysis and Supply Chain Management who will carry out research in the areas of social network analysis in projects, and supply chain management, to include the compilation of literature reviews; assembly of existing data from published sources; investigating and writing up case studies; designing and running field work surveys; and recoding, analysing and writing up the results.

The successful applicant will be expected to assist in applying for research funding to funding councils and other bodies; to provide material, including graphics, suitable for publication on the school’s webpages; to carry out teaching and assessment at MSc level; to prepare and present findings of research activity to colleagues; and to carry out research for, and collaborate in the updating of a website for CONA – the Centre for Organisational Network Analysis.   

This is an open ended, full-time post.

The appointee is required to have a PhD in a relevant field, and interest in and knowledge of Social Network Analysis. The successful candidate will also need to have a bachelor’s degree in either one of the built environment disciplines or a management area, and excellent knowledge of appropriate research techniques; together with a proven track record in submitting research papers for publication, and knowledge of at least one social network analysis software package, preferably UCINET; as well as the ability to analyse and write up data, and process material for inclusion on one of the school’s webpages.

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,635 - £41,864 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
