Are you a highly motivated individual with a passion for science and engineering? Are you a confident communicator and negotiator, skilled in fostering new working relationships? Could you act as the interface between the academic community and external organisations to increase the engagement of academics as consultants to external organisations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Our Business Engagement team is seeking a Consultant Engagement Manager to increase the amount of consultancy undertaken by the academics in the faculties of Natural Sciences and Engineering at Imperial College London. To be successful in this role you must be able to develop good working relationships with the academic community.

With previous experience of business development and/or relationship management, you will possess proven skills to add value to the team.  You will use your management, influencing and negotiation skills to maintain a complete portfolio of consultant engagement within your assigned areas, coordinating the relationship between the companies and the consultant community. 

The role will involve:

  • Identifying and engaging new consultants
  • Developing new opportunities with consultants
  • Proactive preparing of commercial proposals and tenders

This career opportunity will draw on your experience gained in a position such as Relationships Manager, Business Development Manager, Engagement Manager, Corporate Partnerships Manager, Consultant, or similar.
