The Information Systems (IS) Team of the Clinical Trials Research Centre (CTRC) within the Department of Biostatistics is seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to take on the role of Principal Programmer/Analyst. This position will be ideally suited for an experienced developer who wishes to take a step towards a management role as it involves a split between programming (C# .Net), project management and staff supervision (training will be provided as required). You will take responsibility for the management and delivery of software projects, ensuring compliance with CTRC SOPs and University of Liverpool policies and regulations. When required you will be expected to deputise for the IS team manager.

The nature of the work that is undertaken by the IS team requires that you can communicate effectively with the whole range of specialities within a clinical research program, i.e. senior clinicians through to research nurses, including statisticians, data managers and trial coordinators. You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience) be a quick learner, have a passion for technology and a strategic view on how advances in techniques can be applied to the development of applications for Clinical and Health Informatics research. The post is available until 29 February 2020 initially.
