Industrial Strategy Projects Manager Grade 8

University of Liverpool - Research Partnerships and Innovation, Business Gateway

The post is available until 31 July 2021.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, based within the Business Gateway Office, to help develop the University’s response to Government’s Industrial Strategy (IS).

You will have a crucial role in preparing and supporting the University to engage fully with the IS with the objective of maximising the amount of research income and impact derived from this initiative, and the associated Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF).

You will become a primary contact for advice and expertise on the Industrial Strategy for academics across the University and for external collaborative partners. As part of a small team, you will manage the University’s response to the Industrial Strategy, promoting IS and ISCF across the University, maintaining up to date knowledge as it rapidly emerges and disseminating the intelligence as appropriate, along with coordinating the preparation of bids to ISCF and bringing on board external partners (businesses, public organisations and charities).

You should have a degree ideally in a STEM area (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience) and have relevant Business Development experience in a University environment. You will be a self-starter, a good strategic thinker, and be able to respond effectively to short deadlines.
