We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic HR Manager to join the Dunn School of Pathology, an internationally leading research and teaching department with a diverse workforce. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed HR professional who is interested in HR responsibilities that extend beyond day-to-day administration and that engage with the broader agenda of the department.

Reporting directly to the head of the department, you will manage the entire recruitment process to ensure we attract and retain the skills and talent needed to support our research and teaching goals. You will provide specialist advice on all aspects of HR, policies and procedures and employment legislation, leading on complex people-related issues.

You will be a CIPD qualified HR generalist, educated to degree level and have comprehensive experience of providing high quality HR support and advice. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate and gain the confidence of wide range of staffing groups including academics, researchers and support staff. You should have strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise wide-ranging workload and competing deadlines. Previous experience of working in higher education is desirable but not essential.
