About the role
The newly formed Planning and Strategy Delivery team's core task is to support the University's senior team in the implementation of the 2020 strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Planning and Strategy Delivery, this role will be critical in enabling the University to achieve its strategic aims, by aligning priorities and unifying staff to achieve shared goals.

With experience of planning in complex organisations, both managing the process and contributing to it through student / customer number scenarios and insights, the post holder will work closely with a range of senior stakeholders to align daily operations with the University’s strategic goals.

An essential requirement will include being able to use your own initiative and judgement to analyse and interpret data, recognise academic and business requirements, formulate conclusions, and clearly communicate recommendations.

About you
You will have excellent problem solving skills, the ability to analyse complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions and solutions in close collaboration with the functional teams.

You will also have hands-on experience of planning in a complex environment and driving cultural change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, as you will work closely with people from across the University, and from all areas of the institution. Building relationships in order to meet your objectives and to support your colleagues will be of the utmost priority.

We are open to receiving applications from candidates with or without experience of working in higher education. You may have worked as a management analyst or consultant, or within a different industry, and can bring something different to the table.

If you are ambitious and driven to progress your career quickly, this highly visible position will provide a good foundation and enable the post holder to develop in-depth understanding of the inner workings of a university and a not-for-profit organisation.
