Senior Technical Officer - Radiation Protection

FTE: Full time position working 37 hours per week (1.0FTE)

Are you experienced in handling radio-isotopes? We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone to work in our new state of the art teaching and research laboratories, in a leadership role.     

We are looking for an individual with practical experience in handling radiochemicals, including and understanding of the necessary precautions needed to restrict exposure, to act as Radiation Protection Supervisor.  You will have an HND/degree in a biological science or allied subject or equivalent experience. You will also need considerable experience off working in a technical role in a bioscience/pharmaceutical laboratory environment in a technical role. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, adaptability , good communication, numeracy, IT skills, an attention to detail and the ability to command sufficient authority to supervise radiation protection are all essential.

Adaptable and eager to learn, you will be self-motivated, an excellent communicator with an attention to detail.  You will be involved with students and researchers throughout their whole laboratory experience.
